Dedicating Our Peace Pole in the Lower Main Line
The Lower Main Line Rotary Club partnered with the Church of St. Asaph on Sunday, May 31 to place a Rotary Peace Pole facing traffic on Conshohocken State Road in Bala Cynwyd. Click HERE to read about the pole’s installation and its message.
Just west of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, among the wooded hills and tumbling streams that empty into the Schuylkill River, a collection of communities known as the Lower Main Line brings a storied past and a bright future to residents and visitors alike.
In its midst a seasoned Rotary club with a century of service to these communities and to humanitarian efforts worldwide welcomes you to its thought-provoking speakers and fellowship. Please join us!
GUEST SPEAKERS
Taylor Brady, a rising senior at Barrack Academy, received the club’s “Feather in Your Cap” Award for founding and expanding "Board No More Charity." It donates activity bags to pediatric hospital patients and animal shelters. Taylor explained that the charity creates two types of donation bags - "Kids Care Bags" containing scientifically proven toys to reduce anxiety for hospital patients, and "Pet Packs" with items to help promote adoptions at animal shelters. She detailed their impact, including donating over 24,000 crayons, 35,000+ patient items, and reaching 10,000 animals across the US, while also highlighting their community events and partnerships with local businesses.
Club President, Pat Broderick
